Beauty is more than skin-deep. But clear, glowing skin is a good starting point for feeling beautiful. Healthy skin requires commitment though. There is no such thing as a miracle product that transforms your skin overnight. A good skincare regimen always includes a combination of the right products (inside and out), nutrition and persistance!

Your guide to clear, healthy skin

STEP 1: CLEANSE, TONE AND MOISTURISE DAILY

Apply your moisturisers immediately after washing your face, every morning and night. We recommend seeking professional advice to find the products that work for your skin. In general it is important to check the labels when choosing your skincare products. Stay away from products with

  • Parabens (cheap artificial preservatives) …
  • Artificial Fragrance/Parfum. …
  • Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Laureth Sulfate

Instead find a skincare line with powerful active ingredients. A few of our favourite ingredients in skincare are Vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, zinc, and natural boosters such as liquorice or raspberry. One of our favourite skincare lines at the moment is AZRA botanical simplicity, a natural skincare line for all skintypes.

STEP 2: BEAUTY BEGINS WITHIN

Topical skincare mainly works in the top layers of the skin. To nourish the deeper layers (where new skin is formed), we recommend taking a high quality skincare supplement. When choosing a skincare supplement, again it is very important to check the label for harmful ingredients (such as synthetic preservatives e.g. sodium benzoate). Ingredients you should look for are potent antioxidants (e.g. astaxanthin) that naturally boost collagen in your skin and hyaluronic acid. The Daily Nectar combines these powerful skin boosters with superfoods and essential vitamins that makes it a healthy ritual for the entire body.

STEP 3: A BALANCED DIET

Nutrition can have a big impact on our skin. The best skincare products cannot make up for a constant poor diet. Generally you should avoid refined sugar, alcohol and too much processed food. An overload of processed sugar in your diet can for example cause wrinkles, dark circles, dehydrated skin and  premature aging as it breaks down collagen and elastin in your body. On the other hand, a well-balanced diet that is rich in antioxidants can help with your healthy, glowing skin goals. Try adding unprocessed and raw foods to your diet.

STEP 4: PAMPER YOURSELF

Try plan in a little selfcare moment at least weekly. This could be a relaxing bath, a nourishing facemask, or just a nice walk in nature. Because when you feel good, you look good.
